AMC Theatres: Bring Back Curly Fries, Ditch the Waffle Fries

Who is impacted? 

Moviegoers who loved AMC’s curly fries. The switch to waffle fries took away a nostalgic, craveable snack that was part of the AMC experience. Waffle fries are messy in the dark, get cold fast, and just aren’t the same.

What is at stake? 

AMC has a chance to stand out from streaming and other theaters. Curly fries were iconic. They’re easier to eat one-handed during a movie, hold seasoning better, and stay hotter longer. Waffle fries break, create more crumbs in seats, and feel like something you can get anywhere. If AMC wants us to leave the couch, bring back the snacks we can’t get at home.

Why is now the time to act? 

AMC is investing in premium experiences to get people back in theaters. Concessions are a huge part of that. Nostalgia sells. TikTok loves photogenic food. Curly fries check all the boxes.
