The Issue
The military junta of Sudan led by General Abdelfettah Elburhan committed massacres in Darfur and in other parts of Sudan, mainly the massacre of peaceful demonstrators in front of the Sudan Military Headquarters in Khartoum, Sudan
Urgent Call to the 89th General Assembly of INTERPOL
Ankara, Turkey (November 23-25, 2021) to stop Sudan's candidature to INTERPOL Executive Committee
Respected Members of the INTERPOL.
We the undersigned Sudanese make this urgent petition to the Executive Committee members of the Interpol and through you call upon all free nations of the world and all democracies to stop accepting the candidate of Sudan, Lt. General Khalid Mahdi Ibrahim Al-Imam, and deny him the membership of the Executive Committee of the 89th General Assembly of INTERPOL convening in Turkey. He is a part and parcel of the defunct terrorist regime of General Omer Elbashir ousted by a popular uprise in Sudan and wanted by the ICC with other war criminals. Lt. General Khalid Mahdi Ibrahim is one of the notorious leaders of the current regime of General El-Burhan who committed massive atrocities and killings against the peaceful demonstrators all over Sudan. Lt. General Khalid Ibrahim Al-Imam is the head of the security of Sudan responsible for the killings of November 2021 and partner of all killings, arresting, and torturing detainees in different parts of Sudan.
Accepting his candidature to the Executive Committee of this highly reputed INTERPOL will be a grave and heinous insult to humanity in general. We solemnly ask the respected members of this great organization to stop his participation in the meetings of the INTERPOL and help the Sudanese people to hold these killers accountable for their heinous crimes against humanity and bring them to justice and also help in getting back the looted, stollen assets from the Sudanese people.
