In 2002, author James Rollins released the novel Amazonia. It told the story of an expedition into the Amazon basin to search for a previously lost expedition after one of its members stumbles out of the jungle near death. A notable fact is that the man went into the jungle with one arm and came out with both intact. The novel has been well received by both critics and readers. I believe that if the novel is properly adapted for the big screen, then it will be a success.
