Stop the use of plastic mailers by Amazon

Stop the use of plastic mailers by Amazon
Why this petition matters
In 2020, Amazon Logistics delivered 4.2 billion parcel shipments, up from 1.9 billion in 2019. More than 36 million packages are being delivered per day in the United States. Think about what those shipments are mailed in. Many are in single use plastic mailers. Please sign this petition and together let’s ask, if not demand that Amazon STOP the use of plastic mailers!
Things made from flexible plastic film – like air pillows, bubble mailers and bubble wrap – may say they arerecyclable but in our country (it is most likely not recyclable) they are rarely recycled and before anyone takes the time to try a find the appropriate recycling location these single use plastics end up in the trash, float away in the ocean or blow into a tree… PLEASE, FOR THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY, THE WILD KINGDOM AND OUR MOTHER EARTH, FOR YOUR CHILDREN’S FUTURE - PLEASE SIGN! Thank you.
"While it is helpful to provide information, Amazon is continuing to place the burden on customers to manage its enormous packaging footprint. As U.S. and global recycling markets collapse, the truth is that very few plastics are still recyclable and, even if they are collected for recycling, most are not recycled. It's time for Amazon to ditch all single-use packaging and transition to reuse and refill systems. Large corporations like Amazon need to take responsibility by eliminating throwaway packaging and switching to reuse and refill systems.” -David Pinsky, a senior plastics campaigner at Greenpeace.
