Amazon: Stop selling fake Lyft/Uber decals

The Issue

Samantha Josephson thought she was getting into her Uber when she was taken by a fake driver and killed.

Another time, a man named Brendan Sherman was arrested for posing as a fake Uber driver, kidnapping, and attempting to assault and rape a female passenger.

A woman in Los Angeles got into a car which she thought was her car. She fell asleep and was sexually assaulted for three hours.

Predators are posing as Uber and Lyft drivers. And Amazon is helping that happen.

Amazon is selling fake Uber and Lyft decals that predators wanting to pose as Uber or Lyft drivers can buy without having to have any credentials showing that they are a part of either company.

This is such a dangerous practice, and Amazon has a big opportunity to help end it.

Often, drivers buy these stickers wanting unaware passengers to just jump in their car without asking questions after seeing a decal that looks like the real thing.

This has to stop and Amazon could be a part of the change. Ask Amazon to take that are selling fake Uber and Lyft stickers off the site. If a huge company like Amazon took this small step, it would have a domino effect, and other companies like Etsy and Ebay might follow suit.

Not another murder, and not another sexual assault.
