Save The Amazon From Burning Up

Save The Amazon From Burning Up

The Issue

The amazon is burning, and it is burning fast.

As a 18 yrs young girl I went to live in Brazil for a while, I experienced the lively jungle there with big eyes and it woke a lust for life in me. I have been traveling the world since. I have been dreaming of returning back to these forests for 13 years. To see this place burning today up is heartbreaking and I will do what I can to stop this madness. Hopefully I and my future children will be able to experience this amazing rainforest again..

Due to an 88% increase in deforestation of the rainforest in June compared to the same month a year ago cause almost dubble as many fires this year. Deforestation is supported by current Brasilian president and government to increase animal agriculture, mines and farming in the land. The Brazilian government is doing nothing to save the forest.

The jungle region produces more than 20% of oxygen needed on earth and absorbs large amounts of carbon dioxide. It is a home to about 2.5 million insect, tens of thousands of plants, and 2,000 birds and mammals spieces and about 34 million people. It represents approximately 54% of the rainforest left on Earth and is one of the most important ecosystems in the world. All of this is burning up.

This disaster is going to affect us all in one way or another. Let's do what we can to stop this!
