The Eragon movie was okay, but it skipped many scenes and was very different from the book. It disappointed many fans who read the book and the series. Many fans and I who read the series ( or at least Eragon) want a more faithful adaptation of Chris Paolini's Inheritance Cycle in the form of a series or show. Something rated TV-14 or around that rating (not TV-MA though). Maybe an animated show like What the Clone Wars did. And each season could be one book like season 1 is Eragon, season 2 could be Eldest, season 3 could be Brisingr, etc. Eragon would be great as a show and I know fans would be excited to see a more faithful adaptation of the Inheritance Cycle.
