As a small business trying to leave our mark, part of that mark includes business practices that don’t leave behind a large carbon footprint. We’re not perfect, no one  and no business is, but we owe it to ourselves and to our planet to try our best.

Here at Green Point Juicery we try our best to use recyclable, compostable and biodegradable containers and disposables, items made from recycled paper. We are partnered with our local community garden where they pick up compost weekly during gardening season. Myself, as well as a few employees, use our coffee grounds and our used wheatgrass trays for compost. Our stores are also powered by renewable energy.

It’s these little things we do that we hope contribute to the bigger picture of preservation of our planet. That’s why we decided to create a petition towards Amazon requesting that they change their packaging to something more sustainable.

They are currently the largest retailer in the world and while they offer a convenience that many of us benefit from, their plastic bubble bags are exponentially adding to our global problem of plastic pollution. They deliver approximately 1.5 million packages per day worldwide, many of which are packaged in plastic bubble packaging.

Amazon already has the solution- they also use recycled paper cushioned packaging, but not as frequently as plastic.

We are asking that Amazon please eliminate their current plastic packaging to use something more eco friendly. Please do the right thing and make the change!
