Caleb Shei started this petition to Amazon.com

I got an email phishing scam to send $100 e-gift card from 'Sephora Gift Cards - E-mail Delivery' at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQQJ896/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to a person at cathlinelucas568@outlook.com. I emailed back and forth with the scammer who, I thought, was my dear friend, and I ended up sending one $100 e-gift card and another $150 e-gift card. Once I knew my dear friend's email was hacked and hijacked later on the same day, I called Amazon Customer Service at 888-280-4331. They could see the orders and both funds had not been dispersed, but they could not cancel the orders. They asked me to contact Sephora. So I called Sephora at 877-737-4672. The rep asked me to call CashStar (who actually processes all the e-gift cards for Sephora) at 207-549-2200. The rep at CashStar said they couldn't find the order by my email nor by the receiver's email mainly because it was placed on Amazon not on Sephora. My friend called me the following day to apologize for the issue, and he had more than 50 contacts that he needed to call for the same thing. Mine is bad enough, but his is in real nightmare.

I think Amazon should have the ultimate power to cancel such an order, but they couldn't. They should STOP providing such a product that can be easily used by scammers to victimize people like me until they CAN CANCEL such an order.

Now, I just notice a statement - "Sold and delivered by ACI Gift Cards, LLC., an Amazon company." on the bottom part of this 'Sephora Gift Cards' page. So, if Amazon does own this company, and they cannot cancel such an order, shouldn't they be responsible for the amount of the money for such an order?
