Change in Amazon Problem Solving Role
The Issue
Amazonians that work problem solve roles at their respective site have many issues regarding the role assignment. There is no higher pay for a more mental intensive role that requires great skill & understanding of company software & protocol to fix issues with freight. Problem Solver's also are excluded from VTO (Voluntary Time Off) due to their role being "essential". Amazonians whom are trained to Problem Solve do not last and has a high turn over. Workers feel unappreciated, underpaid, overworked, and are upset with the current structure Amazon implements for Problem Solvers.
The solution would be the following:
1) Ensure Problem Solve becomes a dedicated department among the Amazon Warehouse Sites across the globe. Each department will be appointed two managers to lead the team of Problem Solve associates to ensure we keep high quality work & production consistent.
2) Create a Tier 2 position for Problem Solve which would dedicate these workers to the department and receive a pay increase. This would cheer up all Problem Solve workers and create incentive, turnover would gradually decrease and productivity will be at an all time high having a proper structure.
I am a Amazonian that turned in his credentials to Problem Solve because there is no benefit for my hard work to be paid the same while our company continues record breaking growth while undervaluing us in such an important warehouse function globally. If Problem Solve is so essential, lets make it match the title.
I speak for all the many Amazonians who feel the same way and seek to change this for us all.
