Amazon, pause ALL non-essential USPS parcel deliveries during the election 10/27 - 11/10.

The Issue

In 1944, my grandfather Irving "Bud" John Hill learned about the Nazi concentration camps of Germany.  He was grief-struck about the horrors of the Axis fascist regimes. Bud was a good man.  He cared for others and protected the weak. Feeling anxious and angry, he knew in his heart that he only had one recourse, the one thing that he knew was more important than everything --freedom. He found resolve to do what few would do: he enlisted in the armed forces so that he could join the battle against the holocaust's tyranny, oppression, inhumanity & raw cruelty.

Upon completion of basic training Bud was deployed to Europe, a new young soldier in the 2nd Battalion Rangers. As he left American soil, he was full of hope for victory against the Nazi's fascism, and guided by righteous anger for the suffering of the Jews. No more than 6 months later, in late March 1945, his battalion helped the 102nd Cavalry cross the Rhine to free Allied prisoners.  The battalion's mission was a success and the war would soon be over, but sadly, Bud perished in combat and never returned home to his wife and 2 daughters...

Bud received the Purple Heart for sacrificing his life in the fight for freedom democracy & Justice.  His life helped pave the way so that democracy could flourish and thrive. The Allies won the war, reaffirming every American's right to participate in our government, by simply enabling freedom, protecting our right to vote...

75 years later, now, in 2020, American's right to vote is being stolen from us.

This November, the US Postal Service will operate slower than what is needed during this year's national election to service 100% of mail-in ballots. The most effective solution to this problem is to increase USPS's ability to service the influx of mail. However, Louis DeJoy, the postmaster General of the USPS, has said that he will not attend to this increase in mail capacity.

To bypass DeJoy and the corrupt White House administration's unconstitutional tactics to suppress our votes we are asking all major e-commerce retailers to TEMPORARILY PAUSE ALL NON-ESSENTIAL USPS PARCEL DELIVERIES for 7 days before and 7 days after the election on November 3, 2020, for a total of 2 weeks, 10/27 - 11/10.

Amazon alone will ship approximately 80 million parcels through the USPS in this two week time period around. By pausing these parcels, Amazon can make a difference and allow the USPS enough delivery capacity to support the November elections.

Jeff Bezos, we ask you to help America enable and protect the most fundamental of democratic rights --the right to vote.  Please, join us.  We need you. Future generations across the world who believe in democracy will be affected by your choice.

Please don't let my grandfather's sacrifice be in vain.
