Every week in neighborhoods all across the world there are an innumerable amount of packages delivered to doors, with smiling arrows emblazoned on their surface. Amazon is fast and convenient - we cannot fault their customer service or speed. This, though, has created an enormous amount of cardboard and plastic waste from boxes and padded mailers respectively. Not all cities offer a recycling program, and many people simply don’t have convenient or cost effective ways to recycle. This leads to MILLIONS of packages ending up in landfills and burn piles. This petition is to bring attention to the fact that Amazon has the ability, capital, and infrastructure to implement a recycling program that would make a real difference in the way people deal with their recyclable waste, even if they only recycled their own packing products. Please help make this happen.
