Miss Ranck, or Miss Alice as she was known, taught Latin for 33 years at NAHS. She had a positive influence on the lives of more than 3,000 Latin students and countless others, leaving an indelible mark on the academic culture of our high school.

To honor her passing in 2020, we would like to see the atrium of New Albany High School named for her.  The Roman poet Horace claimed to have left a monument more lasting than bronze, and Miss Ranck achieved that and more. It is only fitting that the school in which she taught bear record of her own monumental work.
