Alter or remove Parking Restrictions at Admiral Retail Park

The Issue

Our community in Eastbourne has become increasingly frustrated with the parking restrictions at Admiral Retail Park. Regular visitors and local residents alike are facing unnecessary fines simply for spending time in the retail park. Whether it's waiting for a food order or taking a brief respite in the car park, these established communal routines are being penalised.

In a time of increasing isolation, letting people gather responsibly shouldn't come with a fine - it should be encouraged. Eastbourne's Admiral Retail Park has become an integral part of our community but the current restrictions stand in the way of that.

Our proposal is simple. We need the restrictions to either be removed entirely or to be increased to a 3-hour maximum stay, to allow people time to park, shop, eat and engage socially without fear of a fine. Other retail parks in the UK have successfully implemented similar parking regulations, illustrating that a balance between business needs, local regulations, and community convenience is possible and beneficial to all.

The constant threat of fines neither drives visitors to the retail park nor supports local businesses. Relaxing the restrictions will help to improve customer satisfaction, boost local commerce, and build a stronger, united community here in Eastbourne.

Let's make our voices heard to eradicate unjust fines and improve the Admirals Retail Park experience for everyone. Please sign this petition.
