Justice for Annette Ceasar Albright

Justice for Annette Ceasar Albright
The Issue
Dear Congresswoman Adams,
I am writing this petition on behalf of Annette Ceasar Albright, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) administrator, that was violently attacked by a group of students on 06/01/2016. The incident occurred at Harding University High School in Charlotte, NC.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) issued warrants for four of the students involved in the incident, however, upon viewing the actual cell phone footage, it is clear that more students were involved in the attack.
CMS reportedly has not pressed charges against any of the students involved. At the writing of this petition, they had not made any "public" show of support in favor of Ms. Albright, the apparent victim in this incident.
Ms. Albright has been interviewed by local news affiliates, and consistently maintains that she was carrying out her job duties when assaulted. By signing this petition, we can take steps in the right direction and make sure that our voices will be heard.
Ms. Albright's story is only one of several documented cases where school staff has been victimized by students. The unique characteristic of this story is that it was captured by cell phone video. The cell phone video of the violent attack has been viewed more than one million times on social media.
We would like to introduce measures that would create mandatory active sentencing for anyone convicted of assaulting school staff on any North Carolina campus. Let's work together and empower our government to hold these individuals accountable.
We need your support to get Justice for Annette Ceasar Albright!
Thank you in advance for your support for my sister, Annette.
