As of march of 2026 the board in charge of reenactors at the D-Day Ohio event have banned 16 and 17 year olds from participating in the invasion. Even as medics! I am writing this petition on the behalf of any youth reenactors who wish to participate at D-Day Ohio. The reason this rule was put into effect is because someone and their under aged son tried to sneak onto the battlefield. They were punished, however the people in charge of this event decided group punishment was the route to choose. This rule affects many youth reenactors, most notably the 5th Rangers B Co., who is a venture group with the BSA, they are made up of 80% youth reenactors. This also affects many medics and ammunition bearers. The goal is to get us youths back onto the beach. Please help us get youths back onto the beach so the hobby can grow.
