Allow Uxbridge to host Militaria & Hunting Shows!

Allow Uxbridge to host Militaria & Hunting Shows!
The Issue
Uxbridge, Ontario has deep seated history in farming, hunting, and war-time heroes. Port Perry, its neighboring town, has plenty of militaria and hunting shows that display these heirlooms consistently to its community.
Why would the township of Uxbridge allow its history to fizzle out, without letting its current residents see this vital part of its history.
The statue of Lt. Col. Samuel S. Sharpe, a famous Uxbridgian, sits at the corner of historic Main Street Uxbridge. His heritage remains unexplored, yet some of his past items are still around to this day. This would be a great opportunity to showcase these items at a Militaria show held in Uxbridge.
Militaria shows offer a unique look into Canada's unique military history. The township would benefit greatly from its community gathering together to honor its roots to appreciate these items - the very items these brave Canadians used in their lifetime. The conversations, stories, and connections made at these events are unparalleled for those seeking a deeper understanding of where they live, and how it came to be that way.
We hope to allow militaria shows in Uxbridge, but the township does not allow it.
