Allow UNILUS students compete in the 2026 ZUSA Games

The Issue

As students of the University of Lusaka (UNILUS), we are passionately appealing to our university administration to allow us to participate in the 2026 ZUSA Games. The Zambia Universities Sports Association (ZUSA) Games are a prestigious sporting event, and for many of us, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase our talents, build camaraderie, and represent our university with pride.

The ZUSA Games offer an invaluable platform for young athletes to engage in healthy competition, foster teamwork, and develop their skills in a variety of sports disciplines. Participation in such events not only enhances our university experience but also contributes to personal development, leadership, and discipline. Denying us the chance to compete would deprive us of these significant benefits and stifle the athletic spirit that drives us.

Furthermore, our participation in the ZUSA Games would bring positive recognition to UNILUS, enhancing the university's reputation for supporting and nurturing sporting talent. Events like these can also inspire future students to choose UNILUS for its commitment to holistic education and sporting excellence.

Our exclusion from this important event would be disheartening and demoralizing to the student body, who are eager to compete, learn, and grow through such experiences. We believe that overcoming logistical challenges and providing the necessary support to participate in the ZUSA Games is a feasible and worthwhile endeavor for our university.

We implore the UNILUS administration to reconsider and facilitate our involvement in the 2026 ZUSA Games. Support from the university would empower and motivate us to excel both academically and athletically. We are ready to rise to the challenge and bring glory to UNILUS, but we need your support to make this dream a reality.

Please sign this petition to show your support for UNILUS students and advocate for our right to compete in the 2026 ZUSA Games. Together, we can make a difference for our university and its students.
