Allow Under-14 Girls to Compete in Boxing – Stop Gender Bias in SGFI Games
The Issue
It’s time to stop the gender bias in school sports.
The SGFI (School Games Federation of India) currently allows Under-14 Boys to compete in boxing, but excludes Under-14 Girls from participating — despite their growing interest, talent, and training in this sport.
This is not only unfair — it’s gender discrimination.
Other combat sports like Judo, Taekwondo, and Fencing allow U-14 Girls to compete. Why not boxing?
Last year, U-14 Girls were finally allowed to compete in CBSE boxing events after last-minute intervention — but many missed out because some zones never held the event due to early confusion.
We demand SGFI to:
✅ Formally include U-14 Girls Boxing in the National School Games
✅ Promote equal opportunities for boys and girls
✅ Encourage the next generation of female athletes
Let our daughters fight — not for inclusion, but in the ring, where they belong.
Sign and share if you believe every girl deserves a fair chance.
