Recently, Meta launched the Meta Verified service for Facebook and Instagram, allowing subscribers to receive a blue verification badge.  But there's a catch; Meta Verified will only allow the use of the name on the person's government-issued ID. Many transgender creators like myself cannot subscribe to Meta Verified without being forced to use a name with which we do not identify.

The current policy for names on Meta Verified repeats the same mistakes as Facebook's "real name policy" and is discriminatory against the transgender community.

Please make an exception to Meta Verified's naming policy for transgender creators, by allowing us to use the names by which we are most commonly-known, even if they are not reflected on our government-issued IDs.
