Allow Trampolines in Stone Bridge, Meridian Ranch

Allow Trampolines in Stone Bridge, Meridian Ranch
The Issue
Living in beautiful Colorado our family has always found immense joy and connection through simple outdoor activities. We are a homeschool family who moved to Meridian Ranch about a year ago, so that our kids could do more things outdoors and with a community. Our children have always absolutely loved getting their wiggles out by jumping on a trampoline or swinging on a swing. It's the pure essence of good old outdoor playtime. It's disappointing to look out our windows and see other families enjoying their trampolines, while we are prohibited from having one in our own backyard.
Currently, only one of the four filings in Stone Bridge permits trampolines and play equipment. This limitation dates back to the original plan for a 55 and older community, a vision that never materialized, yet the bylaws persisted. These outdated restrictions are hindering countless families like ours from experiencing joy and fostering child development through play.
Allowing children to engage in physical play is crucial for their growth, well-being, and social development. Trampolines and swing sets offer much-needed physical exercise, stress relief, and connections for families!
Changing this rule aligns with the desires of numerous families in our community who wish to see these rules modernized to fit our current demographic, which includes a diverse range of families and children of all ages. Our children deserve the same opportunities for growth and play as those in other filings above and around us.
We strongly advocate for updating the bylaws to reflect our community's current needs, allowing families the right to enjoy trampolines and backyard play equipment. Help us bring about important changes that reflect the dynamic and evolving nature of our neighborhood. Your support can make a difference in the lives of many children in Stone Bridge, giving them the freedoms and joys of childhood play.
Join us in this movement for change; sign this petition to help our community adjust and thrive with a modern approach to residential living.
