Allow self-defence and weapons training for personal safety

Allow self-defence and weapons training for personal safety

The Issue

I have seen countless videos and stories about people being targeted because of their religion. As someone who values my faith and my safety deeply, these stories hit close to home. I can't shake off the feeling of vulnerability that creeps in every time I hear about another attack motivated by religious intolerance. I simply can't stand by and hope for the best anymore.

For the sake of my own safety and the safety of others in my community who share my faith, I am calling for accessible self-defence and weapons training. We need to be equipped with the skills to protect ourselves should the unthinkable happen. It's not about promoting violence; it's about ensuring that we don't become victims.

Self-defence training is a critical tool for empowering individuals to act decisively and confidently in threatening situations. According to studies, individuals who have undergone self-defence training experience increased confidence and are better prepared to handle emergencies. In addition, weapons training conducted by certified professionals can ensure both safety and effectiveness, offering a means to properly defend ourselves while minimizing risks.

Our goal is to work with local law enforcement and community organizations to establish programs that make self-defence and weapons training accessible and affordable to everyone in need, regardless of their financial situation. By forming partnerships with these groups, we can create a network of support and safety.

Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own community. It's time to take action and ensure that right is protected, regardless of one's faith or background. Support this petition to advocate for necessary training that empowers individuals to defend themselves, thereby fostering a safer, more unified community.

Please sign this petition to help make self-defence and weapons training a reality for communities at risk.
