Good day everyone,

I’m pleased to share that we’ve received confirmation that our group will be delegating (presenting) at the upcoming Halton Hills Council Meeting on Monday, October 27, 2025, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Town Hall (Council Chambers, 1 Halton Hills Drive).

While the exact time of our presentation is still to be confirmed, we’ve been advised to expect our delegation to begin around 3:45 p.m. The related agenda item is:

Request for Seasonal Exemption to By-law 2019-0008

Please note that the process for amending a by-law takes time. In this case, Council will first commission a study to review the safety, risk, and liability considerations associated with allowing seasonal sports equipment on Town property. The motion further directs staff to report back to Council with recommendations by the end of Q1 2026.

Your presence at the meeting—if you’re able to attend—would be a powerful show of support. It sends a strong message to Council that residents are looking for meaningful and timely action on this matter.

Thank you once again for your continued engagement and support.

On behalf of the working group,

Fred de Haan
