Good Day everyone,

Our request to delegate at the Sept. 15/25 Council meeting was denied due to procedural rules we were only just informed of. While this delay is frustrating, we remain committed to moving the petition forward.

The petition and supporting notes have since been submitted to the Town Clerk and shared with all Council members. Supporting Councillors will now introduce a Notice of Motion on Sept. 15/25 to bring the petition forward as a formal agenda item at the following Council meeting. We will provide advance notice once we are confirmed to present at Council to allow supporting community members to attend.

👉 Please take a moment this week to contact Mayor Lawlor and your local Councillor to voice your support and remind them of their responsibility to listen and respond to community concerns. The following is a link to the list of Councillors for Halton Hills along with their contact details. Thanks again for your continued support. On behalf of the working group,

Fred de Haan.
