Good day everyone,
Thank you again for your help in promoting this petition. It’s been incredible to see the momentum grow, with over 650 individuals signing to date! This strong level of participation has not gone unnoticed—our local Council members are very aware of the concerns raised.
As an update: the group of neighbours who initiated this petition has submitted a request to present at the September 15, 2025 Town of Halton Hills Council meeting (3:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.). At that time, we’ll be formally presenting the petition and requesting a seasonal exemption to BY-LAW NO. 2019-0008—to allow residents the freedom to place and use temporary seasonal recreational equipment from April through September.
It would be tremendously helpful to have community members attend the meeting in person as a show of support. If you’d like to speak directly to Council, you can submit a Delegation Request through the Town of Halton Hills website (haltonhills.ca). Look for the “Speak before Council” or “Request to Speak” section, where you’ll find the Application to Appear before Council form. Please note this form must be completed in advance.
In the meantime, please continue to help spread the word in your neighbourhoods, community groups, and on social media. Your ongoing support is truly appreciated, and together we’re making sure our voices are heard!
With gratitude,
Fred.
