Phones should be allowed in your pockets at asfms. If there was an emergency, you should be able to call someone about it. The phone policy is putting students and teachers at risk. I understand that education is important but    children’s lives are more important.

The policy for using your phone during class should be changed. Instead of sending students to ALC, the students should be asked to put their phone away (in their pocket or bag) and the teacher should do nothing more. After all the school doesn’t pay the phone bill. If students would like to learn, they have that  choice. 

The school board are the only people who can change this old, unsafe, inconvenient  policy into a thing of the past. If this petition gets enough signatures, the school would be forced to create a new policy that allows the carrying and use of phones in asfms.
