As a former student in the district of 197 area, I am writing this petition to advocate for the allowance of phone and headphone/airpod usage in schools for educational purposes. This issue is personal to me because I have witnessed firsthand how some students may not be able to afford or buy school supplies like calculators, but their parents have provided them with a Phone. Additionally, music has been proven to help students focus and stay calm while working.

In today's digital age, smartphones have become powerful tools that can enhance learning experiences. By allowing students to use their phones during appropriate times under supervision, we can tap into a vast array of educational resources readily available at our fingertips. From accessing online textbooks and research materials to utilizing educational apps and interactive platforms, smartphones can greatly enrich classroom activities.

Furthermore, headphones or AirPods can provide an immersive learning experience by enabling students to listen to audio lectures or participate in language learning programs without disturbing others around them. This allows for personalized learning opportunities tailored specifically to each student's needs and preferences.

Supporting this petition are relevant facts that highlight the benefits of incorporating phones and headphones/airpods into education:

1. Accessible Learning Resources: According to a study conducted by Pew Research Center (2018), 95% of teenagers own or have access to a smartphone. Allowing phone usage would ensure equal access for all students regardless of their socioeconomic background.
