Allow parents to attend convocation ceremonies

Allow parents to attend convocation ceremonies
The Issue
Watching our children graduate is a momentous occasion, a culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and support. For parents, this is not just a ceremony; it’s a celebration of our investment in their future. Sadly, JVIMS-KBS MCA has restricted parents from attending convocation ceremonies, depriving us of witnessing this once-in-a-lifetime event.
It's distressing that after all the sacrifices parents make to support their children's education, their presence is deemed unnecessary at such a pivotal moment. JVIMS - KBS MCA needs to recognize the invaluable role parents play in the success of their students and honor that relationship by granting access to convocation ceremonies.
This exclusion causes emotional distress among families, diminishing the joy and pride that should be shared with the ones who stood by us through thick and thin. Education is a collaborative effort, where parents, alongside educators, shape the minds and futures of the young generation. To be barred from sharing in our children’s achievements feels like an oversight that needs correction.
Moreover, allowing parents to witness their children’s graduation could foster stronger community ties, as it reinforces the family unit's importance within the educational journey. By revising current policies, educational institutions can acknowledge their students' whole journey, from enrollment to graduation, and celebrate it inclusively with the entire family.
Let's urge JVIMS-KBS MCA to reconsider their policies for convocation ceremonies. Let’s call for change together, so that all parents can proudly watch their children cross the stage. Sign this petition to advocate for a more inclusive convocation experience for all families.
