Allow Kanye West into the UK to headline Wireless 2026

Allow Kanye West into the UK to headline Wireless 2026
The Issue
Wireless 2026 was set to be one of the best festivals the UK has seen in years.
Now it’s been cancelled following the decision to block Kanye West from entering the UK.
Three nights. One of the greatest artists of all time. A crowd that actually cares about the music.
That kind of moment doesn’t come around often.
Ye’s recent shows across LA, Mexico, South Korea and China have been on another level. Sold out stadiums, unreal energy, some of the most iconic live performances in recent years. The kind of shows people talk about for years after.
That’s exactly what Wireless 2026 could have been in London. And it’s clearly what people want.
The demand is obvious. This was going to sell out.
—
Kanye has said things in the past that were wrong. That shouldn’t be minimised.
But it’s also widely known he was dealing with a serious mental health condition at the time. Since then, he has apologised and taken steps to repair relationships, including meeting with members of the Jewish community. He has offered to continue that effort here in the UK ahead of the festival.
That matters.
We can’t claim to take mental health seriously and then ignore it the moment it becomes difficult or public.
It’s disappointing to see sponsors pull out so quickly, especially when many of those same brands position themselves as supportive of mental health. That support shouldn’t disappear when it’s inconvenient.
—
There are also clear inconsistencies in how situations like this are handled.
Figures with serious and controversial backgrounds have been welcomed into the UK without the same level of scrutiny. So why is this even being considered here?
—
This shouldn’t come down to outside pressure overriding what fans actually want.
People should be able to decide for themselves.
If you don’t want to go, don’t go.
But don’t take the moment away from everyone else.
If you disagree with this decision and want Wireless 2026 to go ahead with Ye headlining, sign this and share it.
Make it clear this isn’t what fans want.
