We, the users of Xiaomi/Poco devices, are urging Xiaomi to lift the restriction on full-screen gesture navigation when using third-party launchers like Nova Launcher, Lawnchair, and others.

Current Issue: Currently, Xiaomi’s MIUI restricts the use of full-screen gestures to only the stock MIUI launcher, leaving users who prefer third-party launchers with limited navigation options. The gesture navigation is one of the standout features of modern smartphones, providing a clean and efficient user experience. However, due to the limitation imposed on MIUI, third-party launchers cannot offer the same seamless experience, frustrating users who wish for a more personalized and flexible interface.

Why This Matters: Gesture navigation is a fundamental part of the Android experience. Many users prefer third-party launchers because they offer better customization, smoother performance, and more advanced features that are often lacking in MIUI's default launcher.
