Club sports players dedicate extensive hours to their teams and universities, often without professional contracts, earning them a lot of respect and admiration from the academic community. Despite their contributions, these student-athletes are still required to purchase expensive parking passes to get to their training and match venues. Many of them struggle financially due to the high costs of education and living. This isn't just a local problem; across the U.S., nearly two-thirds of college students are reportedly struggling financially (reported by the National Bureau of Economic Research). To ease their burden, we need to change the policy and allow free parking for club sports players. Let's recognize their dedication and provide them with this much-needed support.
