Allow Fox Mill residents to attend North High School

Allow Fox Mill residents to attend North High School

The Issue

The Issue

Why Fox Mill Should Attend North High School
This petition is not based solely on students wanting to remain with the same friends after middle school. Students will naturally build new friendships through classes, athletics, clubs, music, theater, and other activities regardless of which high school they attend.

Instead, this petition focuses on geography, transportation, and community alignment.

North High School is geographically closer to the Fox Mill neighborhood and much of the surrounding Campton Hills area. Assigning Fox Mill students to North would create a more logical attendance pattern based on location and could help reduce travel times for students and families.

A closer high school may also provide benefits such as:

Shorter bus routes and transportation times.
Easier commutes for parents attending school events, conferences, performances, and athletic competitions.
Stronger alignment with the community many Fox Mill students already interact with through local activities and organizations.
Greater continuity for students, as a significant portion of Thompson Middle School students already continue on to North High School.
We believe school boundaries should consider not only enrollment numbers, but also geography, transportation efficiency, and the overall experience of students and families. For these reasons, we encourage District 303 to reevaluate the current boundary assignment and consider moving Fox Mill to the North High School attendance area.
