The National Medical Commission (NMC) of India currently mandates that students pursuing MBBS outside of India must complete their entire course at the same university. This rule is causing significant distress for Indian students in Russia, where some universities have over-enrolled and are now expelling students. These students are left with no option to transfer to another institution due to the NMC's draft rule. We urge the NMC to amend this regulation and allow foreign medical students the flexibility to change universities under such circumstances.
