As a concerned community resident and student, I am writing to call attention to the dangerous road conditions brought on by the intense snowfall we're planning to experience tomorrow. These icy conditions put the safety of students who commute to school at risk. We want to emphasize the importance of student safety, in light of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stating that weather conditions play a role in nearly 21% of all vehicle crashes in the U.S. (NHTSA, 2020). 

Given the current weather circumstances, we humbly request that school authorities consider designating tomorrow as a snow day to spare students from these hazardous travel conditions. Let's put the safety of our students first. Please sign this petition to allow for a snow day at school tomorrow.
