Students in middle and high school use electives as a way to express themselves and their interests. Emerald High School officials are planning on removing that individuality by cutting down on student's electives, forcing most students to push back their educational goals and dreams. Unless student's are willing to take 0 period classes (which is unachievable for many) students will struggle to have an enriching educational environment to learn in. If freshmen in Dublin High School have two electives so should Emerald High School students.
