Allow Blaiden Parcetich to Play His Senior Year of Football

The Issue

We, the concerned community members of West Middlesex, PA, are calling for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) to overturn their decision and allow Blaiden Parcetich to play his senior year of football. This decision has had a significant impact on Blaiden's life and future prospects, and we believe it is unjust.

Blaiden Parcetich has been an outstanding athlete throughout his high school career. He has dedicated countless hours to training and improving his skills on the football field. As a key player in our local team, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional talent, leadership qualities, and sportsmanship.

While we understand the importance of adhering to rules and regulations set by governing bodies like PIAA for fair competition among student-athletes across Pennsylvania schools, we believe there are extenuating circumstances in this case that warrant reconsideration.

It would be unfair for him to be penalized for circumstances outside of his control when he has worked so hard throughout his high school career.

Secondly, allowing Blaiden Parcetich the opportunity to play his senior year will not only benefit him personally but also contribute positively towards our local community. As a talented athlete with potential college prospects or scholarships at stake hereafter graduation from West Middlesex High School; his exclusion from the team could have long-lasting consequences for his future opportunities.

We believe in the importance of fairness, compassion, and recognizing individual circumstances. By overturning the PIAA's decision and granting Blaiden Parcetich permission to play his senior year of football, we will be promoting inclusivity, supporting our local talent, and ensuring that deserving athletes are not unfairly disadvantaged.

We kindly request the PIAA to reconsider their decision in light of these extenuating circumstances. We urge them to recognize Blaiden Parcetich's dedication, hard work, and commitment to his team. Let us come together as a community to support Blaiden in pursuing his passion for football during this crucial stage of his high school career.

By signing this petition, you are expressing your support for allowing Blaiden Parcetich to play his senior year of football. Together, let us advocate for fairness and give him the opportunity he deserves.

***A little back story for those of you who are unaware of the situation. Blaiden had transferred from West Middlesex to Kennedy Catholic and attended Kennedy for approximately 2 years. In May 2023 he transferred back to West Middlesex due to financial reasons. His mother underwent a surgery in which she was no longer able to consider paying tuition a necessary expense when he could attend his hometown school without tuition. The PIAA is accepting a statement from the athletic director at Kennedy stating that he was leaving due to athletic reasons. They are calling the mothers statement regarding her financial situation contradictory because although she had gotten a raise in 2023, she was still down on hours and pay due to being out for surgery. She was out of work for months and when going back, it was only part time for some time.
