Many people here in America are struggling to find food and shelter, even more so now with the COVID-19 pandemic. Restaurants and grocery stores have excess amounts of food that go to waste every single day. Instead of throwing out perfectly edible food, why not give to individuals and families in need? 

Many restaurants will say that donating their food is a “legal liability”. What most restaurants don’t know is that there is protections in Federal Law for restaurants to donate food to charities and organizations that distribute to those in need.

I am here asking you to sign this petition to help yours and my community. Help those who cannot afford to keep food on the table, who do not have a home to store their food, and those who cannot obtain fresh and healthy food for themselves.
