Even though it is said that you should not judge a book by its cover, ordinary people are judged only on the basis of their skin tone. The color of the skin we have should not play a significant role in defining who we are. We are essentially more alike than we are different; instead of erecting barriers to keep us apart, we should be creating bridges to bring us closer together and put an end to years of cruelty. Pretending that race does not exist, on the other hand, will not address the problem. Rather, we must be willing to appreciate our many cultures while eliminating prejudices and biases.
