“I see so many ‘cages’ for hamsters and other small animals like this. Little rocket ships, circuses, castles, all of which look like pretty toys from the outside. But on the inside? A living creature is expected to live in the tiny indoor section.

Rodents are not children’s play toys. You are committing to caring for a sentient animal, and this cage does not even meet their minimal requirements of floor space. Let alone being unable to fit in suitable sized wheels or toys and being very tricky to clean properly.

Hamsters are NOT low maintenance pets. These rodents in the wild can run an estimated 5 1/2 to 6 miles a night. Being that these domesticated pets are so in touch with their natural instincts, it is silly to assume that these cages can provide enough floorspace for said pet to carry out their natural behaviors. 

It is important to recognize that limiting such behaviors can drastically affect the overall health of these very delicate little beings as proven by a large number of research studies. 

Of you, All Living Things/Tiny Tales, we ask kindly that you change to a more suitable and health friendly housing environment for these pets. The minimum amount of floor space recommended to house all hamster species is 450sq Inches. A floor space meeting said standards allows owners to care for these pets properly while providing enough space to fit all hamster essentials that contribute to promote the many natural behaviors of these small pets.
