The election of President Trump has opened a door to bring awareness to the needs of convicted felons. So many Americans face unfair repercussions because of criminal records. There are barriers to gaining employment,  finding a place to live, professional accreditations and so on.

These are hard working Americans that have paid their debt to society for the mistakes that he or she have made. These Americans deserve the opportunity to rebuild their lives and move forward as productive members of society.

This election proved that a convicted felon can achieve the highest position in our country. All Americans should have an opportunity to do the same.
