On December 17, 2019 Alice City Council voted to close and drain the Multi-Use Complex Natatorium and Aquatics Facility. As taxpayers, we understand City Administrators must make difficult choices and budget decisions. The decision to close the Natatorium will impact our kids, community, businesses, sales tax revenue and quality of life. We must work together strategically and collectively to find a solution that will provide positive results for everyone.  Our young people deserve access to resources that prepare them to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. It important for the City to provide all young people with an opportunity to learn, explore, be physically active, and develop life and career skills. We must explore partnership opportunities and collaborate with key stakeholders to improve programs that promote good health and physical activity such as sports and aquatic programs.  The City should collaborate with partner agencies, community groups, city-county-school partnerships, businesses, and families to provide young people with the skills they need for success. Working together we can accomplish great things! Please reconsider opening our Natatorium and Aquatics facility!
