Ali Campbell left the band UB40 in 2008 because Ali was, for whatever reason, interested in a solo career and decided to follow his dreams as solo musician and songwriter Ali Campbell. His old band mates decided to move on without Ali Campbell and although his older brother Duncan didn't have the same appearance and voice on stage as Ali himself, UB40 still managed to get full house and make their fans happy with their songs. 

In 2014 Ali Campbell reunited with (now also former UB40 band mates) Astro and Mikey Virtue and decided as a jealous little brother, to be a pain in the **** for the still touring successful UB40 band, by confusing the fans and selling tickets as UB40. 

Today, there are 2 bands called UB40 and this needs to STOP!! Personally I am a fan of the old UB40 (including Ali Campbell) but I respect the fact that the old UB40 didn't stop playing but instead went on without some its founding members and kept going on because they play for their fans and for the love of music.

It is sad to see that todays Ali Campbell (who decided to leave the band for a better career in the first place) now want to use the UB40 name to create a larger fan base for himself, create more revenue and like a spoiled little child is looking to destroy his old band. Only this should already say enough about Ali Campbell...

Ali, Astro and Mikey, why first leave UB40 and then after 6 years going around as UB40 while the old UB40 still exists? Man up, grow up, use common sense, look into the future, don't be childish and if you are good enough as solo artists, go on with a different name! Don't hide behind the past but instead create something new, which you wanted in the first place. Leave your old band alone and let them do what they were doing as UB40.

In 2012, Campbell was announced as one of the three judges on the judging panel of the TV show, New Zealand's Got Talent, along with Jason Kerrison and Rachel Hunter. In 2013, Campbell was replaced for the third series by American choreographer Cris Judd.[7]

In August 2014 Campbell announced that he had reunited with former UB40 band mates Astro and Mikey Virtue to record a new album, Silhouette.[1] He said of his brother Duncan's singing, "I sat back for five years and watched my brother Duncan murdering my songs. We’re saving the legacy".[8]

As you can see, Ali Campbell is NOT, I say NOT UB40!!!! So why are they selling tickets as UB40??? This should be stopped and although most of us like Ali's voice and music, he shouldn't behave like a prick!

This Petition is created to help the original UB40 band in their lawsuit against Ali Campbell who is currently going around as and using the name UB40 which enables them to sell more tickets and in the same time destroying trust and the real UB40's fan base. Its just moral and common values that people should have. Ali Campbell is a great singer but apparently not creative enough to sell his own tickets which is why he is using his old bands name. Who is with me??
