Yesterday the AU seniors were informed that we would NOT have an in person graduation ceremony, instead it would be on zoom. The idea to have separate ceremonies for separate majors with live streaming was brought up and the administration said they would not be willing to do that. This is extremely unfair and unjust to all the seniors. After 4 long, hard years of being away from home and working so hard we deserve to walk with our classmates. Other colleges and universities in the area are hosting in person graduations. Even larger universities like the University at Buffalo are holding in person graduations. Yes, to host separate graduations would be hard work, but the seniors deserve it! Right now we all feel like the school doesn’t care about us and isn’t willing to try to make anything work. We’re all very disappointed.....please AU let us walk.....this is all we ever wanted, all we worked SO HARD for
