Bards are a hallmark of the dnd franchise. They are the most known and talked about class in the game from a meme and comedy standpoint. Even without that, bards in dnd campaigns have always been the funniest of characters.

Be they flirty, silly, sarcastic or witty. We all love a good bard. So I've made this thread to ask a question. Why is there no bard companion in BG3?

I want it to be noted that unlike the karlach dillema or the minthara problem, this is not an urgent request. This was brought on by the tweet that stated larian was rehiring voice actors.

Maybe consider the addition of a bard companion at some point? It fills a need in the player's party that cannot be filled unless we ourselves play a bard, which isn't something all of us want to do.

My prime suggestion, since larian is rehiring voice talent, is to maybe get the voice actor for Alfira back and flesh her out into the bard companion. She's got a good voice, an excellent design, and is beyond easy to fit into the story.

Though she only appears briefly and only under certain circumstances, she's likeable and fun to interact with.

There isn't much of her, but I feel that she's the perfect travelling companion to fill the lute shaped hole in our hearts. I hope you guys agree!
