Manoa Alliance
Jan 14, 2018
Thank you everyone for your support. This petition has averaged about 1,000 signatures a day since it started on Jan 1 bringing us to over 14,000 signatures! Last week The Outdoor Circle presented A&B with a simple solution that preserves all the trees and creates a safe, comfortable environment for everyone. We are waiting for their response. The Malama Manoa Board just unanimously voted against the removal of trees from Manoa Marketplace. This is huge. They have 3,700 members with a mission to preserve, protect and enhance Manoa's special historic character which includes the big canopy shade trees. Elected officials are also aligning with the community. Your calls are making a real difference. Please keep sharing this petition with your friends and family. This is our voice. And vote in the KITV poll that asks “Should the monkeypod trees at Manoa Marketplace stay or go?” http://www.kitv.com/story/37202152/poll-should-the-monkeypod-trees-at-manoa-marketplace-stay-or-go A&B will present their plan at Manoa Neighborhood Board Meeting at Noelani School on Wed, Feb 7 at 7pm. We need to fill the cafeteria with supporters. Please encourage your elected representatives to attend this very important meeting. Let them know you care.
