[ALERT]: Beware of nefarious Dental Tourism at 'Stunning Dentistry'
[ALERT]: Beware of nefarious Dental Tourism at 'Stunning Dentistry'
The Issue
Stunningly deceptive and atrociously negligent and excruciating painful experience.
· What was presented as premium dental care that I number 1 in India became one of the most frustrating and uncomfortable healthcare experiences I have encountered.
· It has been some time now and besides occasional jaw pain from misaligned implants, I am doing fine as is my family who also underwent the treatments simultaneous here. Some adjustments were needed by the primary dentist (DDS, DMD) here and the grade he gave to the work done was a solid ‘C-‘
· The bait-and-switch fraud, as mentioned in other reviews, is rampant and you will be forced into a decision by hiding facts and gentle duress. From the beginning, the process felt highly sales-driven rather than patient-centered. I repeatedly felt pressured into making treatment and payment decisions without receiving complete information upfront. Expectations discussed during consultation often did not match what was ultimately delivered.
· Although the clinic appeared visually clean and polished, I left with serious concerns about hygiene discipline and infection-control practices. There is a complete lack of proper measures against infection and hygiene. Patients wearing disposable plastic shoe covers move between public areas, treatment rooms and even bathrooms. The covers protect patients initially inside operating areas, but then they are frequently sent out to waiting areas, where they visit the smelly bathrooms and step into the urine on the floor, before re-entering the operating areas, carrying those germs back into clinical areas.
· The endodontist wears a mask but the rest of the staff in the operating room do not! The assistance staff is obnoxious and completely ignorant of patient comfort – often pushing the suction painfully into the gums and bone. If requested for proper suctioning, one even rolled her eyes and seemed to ignore the discomfort.
· The dental treatments were excruciatingly painful. Never anywhere have they been so painful and recklessly negligent of proper anesthesia. The dental procedures were so old style that they belong to the 1970’s. Instead of modern dentistry, they practice primitive techniques with minimal to no anesthesia. Any requests for more anesthesia were met with lies and resistance about the procedure that we have never encountered elsewhere.
· The lies, oh the lies. every member of the staff is a pathological liar when they promise anything—wait time, painless procedures, billing details., documented proof of treatment, certificate of warranties, etc. etc. Everything is agreed upon with a fake grin but never really delivered.
· They use much younger staff who are NOT anywhere close to the world class dentists they advertise. We never met or was treated by any “world class” truly experienced dentist and felt more like guinea pigs.
· They purposely and deliberately overbook their appointments, requiring you to spend long times waiting, unless you are an Indian officer or politician, whose staff is allowed to enter the operating room without masks or shoe covers, a major risk of infections. Then they will just drop everything and leave you in the middle of a procedure while you lie there in pain and suffering.
· Requested for certain documents and warranty certificates are met with bald-faced lies.
· Without any proper justification, the staff will bully you into payments and when requested what-for, go behind the counter and indulge in Hindi verbal abuses!
· The treatments are deliberately stretched to the very last day of your stay; so if any complications do arise, you are already out of the country, and they will NOT support you but ask you to return at your own expense.
· In fact, it was not until a negative review that his dentistry tried to sabotage on Trustpilot site already was posted, that there was and there has been no post-op support or guidance or any health checks.
· Medical travel requires trust, transparency, and accountability. My experience left me feeling that once treatment was completed and payment collected, ongoing patient care became secondary.
· So, you get there on an international trip. Everything is booked by a non-supportive CRM who is done the moment you are there. Then you are trapped – what are you going to do? Cancel the whole experience and return after wasting exorbitant amount of money, hotel, meals etc.?
· I was just so happy to be done with this clinic that I hope no one goes through this fiasco again – they are opportunistic so YMMV. Before going here, please do watch the movie “Hostel” and it should give you an appropriate idea.,
· Thanks for reading!!
