Aldi is a great supermarket who makes purchasing healthy, wholesome food more affordable. The only thing I don't love about Aldi is that they package a lot of their produce in plastic (i.e. bell peppers, corn, nectarines, etc.). I care deeply about the environment and doing what I can to curb climate change, and I try to use mesh produce bags whenever possible. Prepackaged foods make it hard and sort of mute. 

I would like to petition Aldi to reduce their plastic packaging so we can all be more environmentally friendly.  Reducing plastic consumption is a huge part of reducing your carbon foot print. Considering what is happening in the world today (melting glaciers, forest fires in the Amazon, etc) it's high time we all start taking action, even in small ways. 

We can make changes one by one, but we need big corporations to help lead the way in reducing our carbon footprint. 

I think if Aldi reduces their plastic packaging and begins to offer mesh produce bags for sale in their stores, we could make a big improvement.
