Extend Southtown Sub's Hours

Why is There a Change of Hours?
In an effort to reduce loitering and allow for the creation of a safe passageway on 35th street where Southtown Sub is located, the City of Chicago along with Alderman Sophia King's office has asked businesses to reduce their hours to 10am-6pm. By reducing the hours, having security posted along the strip and 24-hour camera surveillance, the hope for a safer neighborhood is attainable.
Although the other businesses that are abiding by this regulation are not restaurants that typically serve during the hours of breakfast, lunch and dinner, Southtown Sub respects and will oblige to what has been asked of them. It has come to our attention, however, that many of our patrons do not agree.
What You Can Do to Help
We would like to provide our patrons with a meaningful platform to show their support. We ask you to show Alderman King what Southtown Sub means to you.
This petition asks Alderman King for a reasonable extension to Southtown Sub's hours to allow us to serve you better. We will never be open until 4 am again to improve the safety of our community. However, we are asking for support to extend the hours as follows:
Want To Do More?
Reach out to the alderman's office and tell her how you feel.
Note: You are an extension of who we are so we ask you to please remain professional and show the utmost courtesy and respect.
