This is a petition to take funds and donations given to Albuqerque Pride during the month of June and redirect them to the Black Lives Matter Movement.

Pride began with the 1969 uprising at New York's Stonewall Inn which was a movement that was started by People of Color. This rebellion is what started the gay liberation movement, and it is why we have a month to celebrate who we are and who we support. 

Right now the Black Community needs our support, our solidarity, our ears, our voices, and our commitment to their justice and their freedom. 

With enough signitures we can encourage the directors of ABQ Pride 2020, community members and businesses who set up fundraisers and donations for Pride during June, and LGBTQ+ members and allies to redirect their finances to the Black Lives Matter Movement. Let's give our financial support to a group that has fought for us in our time of need, in their time of need. Peace and Love.
