We are petitioning Air Transat on behalf of all Wedding groups or other group bookings affected by Flight Cancellations due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.  We, the undersigned feel that Air Transat is not offering fair compensation to it's group passengers in light of this pandemic.

  We are requesting that Air Transat amend their group policy to allow groups to disband and act on their own individual bookings without penalty, as we did not willingly cancel our Contracts with the Airline.  We are asking that groups are given the same policy rights as individual bookings -that is, to allow individuals to determine fair compensation via either refunds where available, or by credit for future travel to the destination of THEIR choosing within the 24 month period as per the policy for individual bookings. Currently we are being told we must rebook to the same destination and hotel, and rebook as a group, or some passengers will face financial losses. This is especially a challenge for rebooking weddings due to the ripple effect of massive cancellations during the pandemic. 

We have paid in full in good faith with the airline, and should not be forced to rebook during this uncertain time in global health or face losing our investments when everyone is suffering economically.  We feel that in this health crisis and time of economic hardship for all , Air Transat needs to do the right thing for it's customers who supported them with considerable sums of money as a group, and offer this amendment to it's compensation policy.
